PRESIDENT Narelle Belle
has had a varied creative journey. As a comedian she’s performed at various WA comedy clubs, early on competing in the WA Final of Raw Comedy. Narelle spent 5+ years as a radio Producer/Announcer for the legendary Johnny Young on 6IX. As a vocalist, Narelle’s kept busy with cabaret shows including An Evening with Karen Carpenter, Amy Housewine, Minnelli n Martin, and The Frocky Horror Show. Being a professional singer and MC has resulted in national and international travel. As an actor, Narelle’s appeared in miniseries, ads, feature films and theatre, including Maj Monologues, The Blue Room Theatre’s Solo Spot, and laugh-out-loud stage play Confetti from Graceland.

MANAGER Dianah Star
joined the Laugh Resort Inc. in 2000 and barely remembers performing at the Club’’s multi-stage venue takeover 10h anniversary spectacular. She’s been Club President (2007-11 & 2022-24) and Manager (2003-07 & 2016-present). With a journalism degree, Di’s run PR & Marketing for local and touring indi theatre and comedy shows in and outside of festivals for 25+ years. She also presented a regular What’s On arts & culture segment for RTRfm’s morning show for more than 7 years. Di was The Blue Room Theatre Marketing Manager for five years before four years in event PR & Communications for the City of Perth. Di’s been a panel judge in the Comedy category of Live Performance Australia’s annual Helpmann Awards (2012-21), is a die-hard Doug Anthony AllStars fan and often their WA publicist.

(Acting) SECRETARY & TREASURER Andrew Shugg
has appeared in hundreds of comedy show audiences since 2013 and, as The Laugh Resort’s number 1 regular audient, is proud to be extending his support of Perth’s comedy industry and artists, having joined Laugh Resort Inc’s committee in 2021. He enjoys laughing at jokes.
