Festival summer begins with a banger

Let a selection of WA's top fringe comedians (and special guests) whet your FRINGE WORLD appetite, giving you a taste of their best from the upcoming fest.

Direct from SA, world renowned comedic storyteller Jon Bennett hosts 2020's WA Comedian of the Year (joint winner) Andrew Wolfe with Perth's fave Canadian and 2020 Comedy Zone selection Tor Snyder, plus the long-awaited return of beat-boxing, live-looping Ross Vegas.

Japan's fastest rising comedy export (calling Perth home since March), Takashi Wakasugi also features, supported by local faves Alissia Marsh 'King of the Lesbians', one-liner expert David Tuffley, rising star Zeppo, and Perth's adopted Liverpudlian John Pinno.

If you're overwhelmed by festival choices, this 2 hour value mix of hand-picked acts promises comedy to tickle all tastes.. And, every online ticket puts you in the draw to WIN a $50 voucher from our host venue.

During Fringe, the lols continue weekly with our special '9 at 9' line-ups (different acts revealed every week on Facebook and Instagram) featuring more of the fest's best homegrown & guest stars.

Pirate Church is what happens when two clergy, Chris Bedding & Werzel Montague, make a night of comedy about religion. And Pirates.

It’s for mischief-makers and free-spirits. It’s for those who long to dance a jig at twilight in the salty air. It’s for those who love a good fight, a good yarn, and a good bottle o’ rum.

This has been a year that we’d quite happily throw overboard. So get aboard the Dread Ship Fisher’O’Men for Nativitide as Pirate Church's 2020 special fires a broadside and blows the year to smithereens.

UnPresidented Times features everything you love about a Pirate Church Christmas: sea shanties, hollering, saucy wenches and terrified cabin boys.

Stars home for silly season laughs

Taking a break from streaming online in Dec means you’ll just have to be at The Shoe in person to enjoy the homegrown stars we’ve lined up to make your silly season hilarious, Luckily, we’ve 20% increased (socially-distanced) seating capacity, so more Perthlings can join us for some laughs.

Dec 2 marks the long-awaited Laugh Resort return of media star Janelle Koenig with MC Daniel Delby (Comedians vs Rappers), humble award winner Sam Cribb & more stellar local supports TBA.

Dec 16 is our annual 'Home for Xmas' lineup - see which WA-made faves will be joining superstar Dave Callan making it safely across the border in time to deliver you world-class yuletide laughs.
